Slovenia was leading the group when the day began, but America and England both won, so the Slovenians had to go home empty handed, while the USA and England moved to the next stage. Based on the tie-breaking procedure, the USA actually won the group. That's the first time that has happened since 1930.Man, if ever a sport needed instant replay, it's soccer. Those refs seems to miss as many calls as they get right, and because of the nature of the game, the replays usually offer a clear result!
