The all-time record for an October weekend, in fact for any non-holiday fall weekend, is $48 million (Scary Movie 3). Jackass 3-D took in $22 million on Friday alone, and appears to be about to crush that record.
The Bruce Willis film performed about as expected and seems headed for about a $20 million weekend, but that total will leave it in a distant second.
On the other side of the ledger, I Want Your Money (the anti-Obama "documentary") appears to be headed for some other kind of record. It took in only $85,000 in 537 theaters - 158 bucks per theater. Assuming four showings at ten bucks per ticket, it played to an average of four people.
