Super 8: Speilberg/Abrams sci-fi; 3400 theaters; 82% positive reviews; first place with $35 million.
Judy Moody. PG tweener comedy; 2500 theaters; 15% positive reviews; seventh place with a gross in the range of $7 million.
Midnight in Paris: Woody Allen's film expands to 900 theaters; 92% positive reviews; eighth place with about $6 million. (That would be a pretty solid average per theater.)
