Transformers has already taken in $162 million counting its mid-week opening! The $97 million for the Fri-Sun period easily broke the previous Independence Day Weekend record of $88m, and became the top weekend of this year.
Larry Crowne took in only $13 million for the weekend, but that was just about double what Monte Carlo brought in.
Cars 2 tanked. It experienced a 62% drop, which was by far the worst second-week drop ever experienced by a Pixar film.
