Friday Box Office: Apes Rise Again

Surprise: The Help almost won the Friday box office.

It did beat all the other new movies, losing only to the Apes. Maybe. It could go the other way as well. In fact, the final tally could reveal that they finished #2 and #3, because those two films and Final Destination were basically in a three-way tie for first, with all of them in the low 7s

Meanwhile, 30 Minutes or Less didn't do jack. It was expected to do close to $20M for the weekend, but looks to be headed for a total closer to $10M.

Glee: The 3D Concert Movie was expected to perform poorly, and lived up to expectations, grossing less than $3M.
