50/50: 92% positive reviews. Seth Rogan plays himself (but with a different name, for some reason) in a more-or-less true story about his real-life friend who was diagnosed with cancer. The friend, Will Reiser, wrote the script. Rated R for sexual content, language, and drug use." Drug use? No. That's not the Seth Rogan I know.
Dream House: 8% positive reviews. You probably figured that this PG-13 haunted house flick was going to be bad when they didn't allow anyone to see it in advance, despite the presence of critical darlings Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, working under the direction of another critical favorite, Jim Sheridan. You were right.
* "So misbegotten and awkward that one has to assume there was some serious after-the-fact tampering by a committee of lunatics."
* "There are probably some fascinating behind-the-scenes stories that would explain why Dream House is such a ruined pile of nonsense."
What's Your Number: 22%. Rom-com in which Anna Faris chases down her exes for some reason or another. Rated R for "sexual content and language." It gets the usual reviews for Anna Faris movies: Anna good, film bad. As a talented person who never seems to make a watchable movie, Anna is quickly becoming the Bryan Brown of her generation.
Courageous: 50%. Inspirational faith-based story. It must be pretty good because a lot of critics liked this despite being prepared to hate it because of its upfront religiosity
