Herman Cain may be lacking in certain areas (foreign policy comes to mind), but he has something very important going for him - people actually like him. That doesn't mean they would like him to be president, but it can't hurt. (It never hurt Ronald Reagan.)
Rick Perry, on the other hand, is perceived as an asshole.
