Sure, because history has taught us that there's no better way to deal with a stupid, rude, insensitive action than to counter with a stupider, ruder, more insensitive one. That's the way Jesus and Buddha taught it, and it's worked for us so far.
But Limbaugh may have a point, I think. Let's imagine it is 2008 and Hillary is running for the Democratic nomination. She comes on a late night show and gets introduced with "Lyin' Ass Bitch." Exact same situation, right? Does it get the same reaction?

By that rationale, it assumes that Bachmann has the gravitas as Hilary, or, for that matter, Condoleeza Rice or even a nonelected politico like Peggy Noonan.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of one's own party, why can't we acknowledge that, at the very least, neither she nor Santorum are worthy of any respect or serious consideration in this election?
I don't think this is an anti-woman issue as much as it is an anti-Bachmann issue. Would she be anything other than a punchline if she were running twenty years ago? Hell, if she were running ten years ago?
