It was an excellent start for 21 Jump Street. It took first place, with a gross ($13M) approximately equal to that of numbers 2-5 added together.
Will Ferrell's Spanish-language movie did fairly well in limited distro. Its $1990 per theater was second only to 21JS, and it actually managed to sneak into 8th place overall, despite being in a mere 382 theaters nationwide. It took in more, for example, than last week's Silent House, which is in about 2100 theaters.
