Excellent article. He's not what you picture when you imagine a "hacker." He is a guy with a lot of time on his hands, and no technical skills at all. He managed to do what he did by intelligent guesswork and painstaking trial-and-error. First he would guess at a celebrity's e-mail address on G-mail, then he would guess their password by using public information like the names of their pets. Once he got into an account, he would set their e-mail to forward a copy to him, so that he could still get all their incoming mail if they later changed the password. Perhaps he succeeded one time in a hundred in finding both the account name and the password, but when he succeeded it could be a jackpot. And a curse.
