Rise of the Guardians could do no better than a weak third behind the sparkly vampires and 007.
Life of Pi really struggled, finishing behind Red Dawn. Pi finished either 6th or 7th; Red Dawn finished either fourth of fifth. (Depending in both cases on the exact final amount.) Pi, however will be the stronger of the two new films in competition for the weekend family market.
