The Croods also scored a solid A Cinemascore, and will have no competition in the family demo for two months. I think they have a hit!
Olympus took in a respectable $25M and scored an A- Cinemascore. That is good news for Gerard Butler, who needed at least a minor hit to avoid earning a coach ticket to straight-to-videoland. Perhaps now he can continue to co-star with Morgan Freeman instead of Corbin Bernsen and Eric Roberts.
The Tina Fey / Paul Rudd movie, on the other hand, should be appearing soon in a Redbox near you. It took in a paltry $6 million. Rudd is turning into the Gerard Butler of wimp films, in that Admission is the fourth bomb out of his five last releases.
