Oz the Great and Powerful has not been received with great enthusiasm by critics (57% positive reviews), but Disney has a lot riding on it, so the damned thing will be in almost 4,000 theaters. I reckon they have pushed it enough to make it the first real blockbuster of the year. The experts think it will gross in the 80s this weekend.
Far behind that, in about 2,000 theaters, is a Colin Farrell revenge thriller called Dead Man Down. It has not garnered especially good reviews (41% positive) and it will probably fail to gross in double figures.
