Using defensive wizardry, Syracuse is going to the prom

Syracuse is looking like the team that started the season 18-1.

Here's what Syracuse's opponents have done in the last four games, starting with the most recent and moving back in time:

Marquette: lowest point total of the year, 22% shooting(!), 12% from 3-point range, 13 turnovers, 8 shots blocked.

Indiana: lowest point total of the year, 33% shooting, 20% from 3-point range, 18 turnovers, 10 shots blocked

Cal: 39% shoooting, 19% from 3-point range, 17 turnovers. Looking back on it, the kids from Cal have to feel much better about that loss after seeing what Syracuse did to their next two opponents.

Montana: lowest point total of the season (by 26!), 20% shooting, 13% from 3-point range, 17 turnovers.

To recap: no team has gone above 40% against them; from Threeland, no team has gone above 20% against them.

Yeah, Syracuse can play some D.
