And then there were three. The Pats and Seahawks left the undefeated ranks, so now it is just the Chiefs, Broncos and Saints. The undefeated Chiefs aren't even in first in their own division, but elsewhere, the Cowboys lead their division with a losing record.
Check out that insane game between the Broncos and Cowboys: 51-48, decided by a last second field goal. Dallas blew an early 14-point lead, then Denver blew an even larger one to find themselves down by seven in the final quarter, but the Cowboys couldn't hold that lead either. Romo passed for 500+ yards and 5 TDs - and lost. Peyton amassed 414 yards of his own and tossed another 4 TDs with no sacks (he did get intercepted once, his first of the year).
And the inept Giants committed four more turnovers on their way to an 0-5 record. Eli came into the game with a pathetic QB rating of 69 - 29th in the league - and managed, against all odds, to make it go DOWN. He now has 12 interceptions. The saddest and strangest part of the Giants' woes is that they still have a decent shot at the playoffs because their division is so weak.
