Internet Explorer hits single digits in market share.
That's down from a high of 88% in March of 2003! Microsoft's browser lost another five points in 2013. Firefox fell just as fast last year, but is still clinging to a 27% share, down from its own high of 48%. Chrome has simply taken over. It gained another nine points in 2013 to reach a new high of 56%. It had no share of the market in August of 2008, but has gained close to one point per month since its introduction.
