Rio 2 - animated sequel from same studio that makes the Ice Age movies. (G, 3948 theaters, 49% positive reviews.

Oculus - a horror movie which concentrated on dread rather than gore. (R without nudity, 2648 theaters, 71% positive reviews.)

Draft Day - sports dramedy with Kevin Costner, directed by the guy who did Meatballs, Stripes and Ghostbusters. OK, he also did Kindergarten Cop and Twins, but I guess his good deeds exceed his bad. (PG-13, 2781 theaters, 61% positive reviews)

The Raid 2 - a sequel to the Indonesian cult action film. Two and a half hours of non-stop violence and energy. (R - nudity not mentioned, expanding to 954 theaters, 80% positive reviews). That 80% rating is not a fluke or a product of small numbers. It is based on 127 reviews!

Box Office forecasts:

Captain America and Rio 2 are expected to battle for first place with totals in the neighborhood of $40M. Oculus and Draft Day are expected to compete for third place with totals in low double figures.
