MPAA assigns an R rating to a film with no sex, violence or nudity
The justification is "language."

The MPAA has been accused of homophobia because the film is about a relationship between elderly gay men. It stars two distinguished actors, John Lithgow and Alfred Molina. Critics claim that the film would not have received an R if a virtually identical script featured an elderly straight couple.
