NFL Football Scores, Week 9

NFL Football Scores, Week 9
No great surprises. The Jets, Jags, Raiders and Bucs all played and lost, as usual, so there were four predictable games right there, and I expected the Pats to beat Denver in Foxboro.

One thing I did not expect was the Dolphins defense to make mincemeat of the Chargers. The Chargers never got in the red zone. Hell, after their first possession, which they eventually lost on downs instead of kicking a field goal, they never got past mid-field! It was questionable for a while there whether Rivers was going to have more passing yards to Miami receivers or his own.

The Chargers beat the Seahawks in week two, and seemed headed for a decent season, but they haven't done jack since. They are 5-4, but that record is deceptive because three of their wins were freebies. They came against Jacksonville, Oakland, and the Jets, who have a combined record of 1-23 against other teams (the Jets beat winless Oakland for their only win.)
