I figured since Obama had come out for something indisputably good - preventing a few companies from destroying the existing internet (which is working just fine) - that no Republican would dare to publicly oppose it, since even the sleaziest politicians would have to think twice about standing up for pure evil. (Dick Cheney excepted, of course.)
