Relatives Arrested for Cheering at a High School Graduation

Superintendent Jay Foster says he had to do it because he told everyone to “Hold your applause,” and it was also printed in the program.

At first he had the people ejected from the ceremony, a typical small-dick compensation move which branded him as a martinet, but could have been half-heartedly defended in the interest of maintaining order. But then he took it to the next level by filling out a criminal complaint to accuse them of disturbing the peace, thus potentially burdening them with significant court costs.
