The Cowboys won and remained undefeated, but at the cost of Romo for 8-10 weeks, with Dez Bryant already out.
Jameis Winston looked better than Mariota this week. Winston looked pretty good against the Saints, who appear to be headed for a long year. Mariota's passing was OK, but he needs a little work at holding on to the football. Tennessee outpassed and outrushed the Browns, but they allowed a 78-yard punt return, and three unrecovered fumbles proved exceedingly costly.
The injury-torn Bears' defense sucked so much harder and deeper than I thought it would. And Jay Cutler pulled a hammy to add to their misery.
The Giants might win a Super Bowl if we could just get the game duration switched to 55 minutes.
The Seahawks, Eagles and Ravens (12-4, 10-6 and 10-6 last year), are all 0-2. The first two faced tough opponents today, but the Ravens lost to Oakland (3-13 last year).
Brady passed for about a million yards (OK, it was 466) against the Bills. He aired it out 59 times to 9 different receivers, but the Bills still could have won that game if they had avoided interceptions.
Rothlisberger passed for 350+ yards for the second week in a row and was pretty close to the coveted perfect passer rating.
Adrian Peterson ran for 134 yards against the Lions and added 58 receiving yards.
DeMarco Murray ran for 2 yards - on 13 carries! Last week he gained 9 yards on 8 carries. Ouch! Running from the shotgun doesn't seem to suit him. Last year he made only 9% of his rushes from the shotgun; this year so far: 86%.
