Avant-garde opera. Dutch performance with lots of male and female nudity.
You can watch a short (very naked) excerpt on YouTube here.
If you are Dutch, or just interested in Dutch theater (and really, who isn't?). There is quite a good list of videos of full-length plays available at the Dutch Theater Encyclopedia. A couple of the videos have been removed (Edward Albee, for example, did not give them permission to film Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), but most of them are intact. That includes Dutch versions of theatrical treasures like Hamlet, Midsummer Night's Dream (Een Midzomernachtsdroom), The Cherry Orchard, Three Sisters, Waiting for Godot, All My Sons and probably several other classics whose names I don't recognize in Dutch.
"Een meeuw" is a 2003 production of Chekhov's The Seagull. It features Game of Thrones' Melisandre (Carice van Houten) in a major speaking role, and also features another noteworthy actress, Halina Reijn.
I appreciate what they have done, but I really don't understand spoken Dutch. I sure wish they had something like this for London or New York plays.
