The pictures that cost Vanessa Williams her Miss America crown
It happened more than 30 years ago. She won the pageant, but was stripped of her crown when Penthouse magazine published x-rated photos of her, including some explicit girl/girl action.
That was a shock and a personal disappointment at the time, but certainly didn't hurt her in the long term. She went on to become the most successful former Miss America in entertainment history.
It's ironic that these pictures cost her the Miss America crown but by today's standards, these things are downright tame!
