Speaking as: #1) A Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, who knows what winning a National Championship in a sport should do for the fans, the city and the state, and #2) someone living in Greensboro, NC, and #3) a person who really couldn't give a crap about basketball - I must say I am at the very least confused by the understated reaction to North Carolina's national win in NCAA Basketball.
After seeing Scoop's post that NC won, I went to the local TV station website. I had to dig down 2 levels to find anything about the contest. The local newspaper did have a splash on it's front page but that space was also shared with a story about redistricting. I expected more, North Carolina, way more.
