Yes, he "should". His company has rules that his employees must follow. If one of those rules is, "Players on the field will stand at respectful attention during the playing of the National Anthem.", and one or more them don't, they are disobeying a directive of their boss. It's like actors on a stage. The players are the actors and Jones' stage is that field. Follow the cues or face the consequences. Should a play's producer allow the actors to say anything they want to even if it is not in script?

If the producer so chooses, sure. You ever heard of improv? Also, you are conflating what an actor does while he IS performing with a football player while he is NOT. An honest comparison would have discussed an actor's behavior before the curtain is raised.
Didn't Jerry Jones kneel WITH his players last week? Maybe he needs to fire himself.
ReplyDeleteHe does seem to be equivocating, doesn't he? Is he going full Pence and following marching orders from the WH?

Grow. The fuck. Up.
ReplyDeleteIt was against the rule for Rosa Parks to sit in the front of the bus.
This is how progress happens.
