Donald Trump addresses claim he hired prostitutes to perform ‘golden showers’
He Tweeted: ”Clinton campaign & DNC paid for research that led to the anti-Trump Fake News Dossier.”
That's a meaningless statement.
1. So what? They paid for research, not smears. All campaigns pay for research. A few years ago Trump paid detectives to go to Hawaii in an ill-advised attempt to prove Obama was not born there. Furthermore, this is not new information. The trail of funding had already been established. For example, this from March: "The 52-year-old Steele initially began investigating Trump for an opposition research report commissioned by a Republican PAC and (later) underwritten by Democrats. His claims remain unsubstantiated, but Steele’s work was taken seriously enough that the FBI offered to pay for additional investigation — which he ultimately declined."
2. Notice the President didn't even deny the story. He simply called the dossier "Fake News," the same term he uses to describe the major broadcast networks. Trump is in the same position as the boy who cried "wolf" too often. Let's face it, if the dossier is as fake as CBS, that pretty much makes it completely true.

SIDEBAR: Actually, I think there is almost no chance that the prostitute story is true.
