The Yankees' pitchers shut out the mighty Astros, go up three games to two
The 'Stros have only seven hits in the last two games. In the entire series, the Astros have scored 2-2-1-4-0, averaging 1.8 runs per game, only 4.4 hits per game, and batting .147. In the one game when they scored four runs, they had only three hits! Given that the Astros had a historically potent offense in the regular season, that calls for a real tip o' the cap to the pitching staff from the Bronx. The lads have posted a 1.45 ERA.
Houston's only hope: this result makes 5 home victories in 5 games, and the last two games are in Houston.
Teams with the best bullpens are the ones that excel in the postseason. Essentially, the winner of the Yankees-Indians series was your AL WS rep. The Astros don't have anywhere near the pitching those teams have.
