Washington State proves to have feet of clay

Cal trounces Washington State

This was another mammoth upset. Washington State was undefeated and rated 8th in the nation, while Cal had been 0-3 in previous conference play. State was favored by two touchdowns, and Sagarin showed them to be 20 points better, yet they lost the game 37-3.

Cal's defense was spectacular, or State's o-line was awful, probably a bit of both. Cal forced seven turnovers and came up with nine sacks.
