Trump is using the plan that JFK and Reagan used to bring about the largest and longest recoveries this nation's economy ever saw. JFK's historian recently was quoted in NewsMax Magazine and he said that if JFK were alive today, he would not be a Democrat. He would be a Progressive Republican.
If he can keep from tripling the national debt and raising taxes eleven times like St. Ronnie, we'll be ahead of the game.
Comparing him to JFK is much more of a stretch. People LIKED Kennedy, for one thing. But where there's a buck to be made, I'm sure some dingus at Newsmax will try it on.
When JFK proposed reducing the federal income tax rate, the top marginal rate was 91%, plus at that time we had a strong middle class without massive wealth inequality. Today we have a very weak middle class, and the President plans to increase the debt significantly just to benefit the wealthy.
JFK was a brilliant and thoughtful man. He would not have had a thing in common with today's Republican party, and particularly not with Trump.
That's OK, y'all just keep on going your own blind ways. The adults have taken over and we will make the country better while the rest of you are whining and crying about equal playing fields and all that.
Keep one thing in mind - your teachers might have taught you that the world needs to be fair and balanced but out here in the Real World, life sucks. Get used to it.
Again with the irony. You’ve managed to elevate to the presidency a man who might charitably be described as a petulant child. To such an extent that his daily briefings have to be tailored so as to avoid setting off a bout of adolescent pouting. But yes, the adults are Indeed at the helm.

MAn, that kool-aid must be good. There are so many people drinking it.
ReplyDelete...says the guy who cites NewsMax magazine. Irony was the first casualty of the MAGA era.
ReplyDeleteI have trouble reading any Gent comment through the irony.

ReplyDeleteYeah, let's look at those judicial nominees again who are destined to make our country so much better.
