I don't know which of you is correct. I estimate that there are 11 pink flowers. Since flowers are usually sold in dozens, it is logical to assume there is one more flower somewhere, and that may be a deep red one. I don't know why a dozen would be configured that way, but many artistic decisions confound me, so it may well be that there are eleven pink ones and one red for reasons I am too inartistic to fathom.
I have a program which can enlarge a picture and still maintain composition and I just looked at this picture in it. That is definitely not a rose. The way the picture was taken and the position of her cooty makes it look a little like the shape of a rose but then I lightened it just a tad and that proved conclusively that it was a bush, but not a rose...bush....
Scoop, that's an (intentional?) optical illusion. It's a very dark red flower. You can see that it slightly occludes one of the pink flowers.
