This absolutely shattered the old market share record of 75, set by the first Spider-Man, which in turn destroyed the previous record of 68 set (surprisingly enough) by Lethal Weapon 3, way back in 1992.Lethal Weapon 3 held the record for ten years. and it, too, smashed the previous record - by 12 points! Before that, the records were held by:
- 1987-1992 Beverly Hills Cop 2, 56
- 1984-1987 Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 52

Spider-Man 3 takes an 84% chunk of the weekend gross

According to that page, Beverly Hills Cop 2 is #22 on the list with 56.4, which beats out Last Crusade. (BHC2 is also on the list at #37)
