Smartest draft decision in baseball history?

"In 2001, Mark Prior was considered to be the top prospect, but the Minnesota Twins, who had the top pick, were warned that Prior didn't want to play for them. Fearing signability problems, the Twins opted to take local talent - catcher Joe Mauer!"

Then again, you always wonder whether Prior would still be pitching brilliantly today if he had never pitched for Dusty Baker. As my hero Dalton would say if he were here, "Opinions vary."
