Dinner for Schmucks: 68% positive reviews. "An extraordinarily stupid man possesses the ability to ruin the life of anyone who spends more than a few minutes in his company." American remake of a French flick. This is the only one of the three new movies which got a respectable critical reception.Charlie St Cloud: 13%. Zack Efron sees dead people. He promised to hang out with the dead, but wants to betray them by fucking a real live girl. The dead are not amused. No, wait. The dead ARE amused. Or maybe Zach is really dead. Or maybe you are, well, at least brain dead, if you pay to see this.
Cats and Dogs: 13%. Spy movie in which all the roles are played by live pets talking through the magic of special effects. Picture Clutch Cargo with collies. In 3D. I think this means it is finally time for my movie to get made. I read long ago that there are two subjects which always generate instant interest: dogs and Nazis. So I figured why not make a movie about Nazi Germany where all the roles are played by dogs? I call it "Mein Furrier." I wrote it many years ago, but now it can be made in 3D, as the good Lord intended.
