How to Train Your Dragon was the weekend's runaway victor with $43M. Alice finished second. Hot Tub Time Machine performed weakly.Puerile R-rated movies like Hot Tub Time Machine have an inherent problem. Their target audience is not old enough to see them legally. This fact severely delimits their potential at the box office, and that in turn reduces the number which get made in the first place. This is very heartbreaking for me, since I have to be honest and say that puerile R-rated comedies are my favorites among the guilty pleasure genres.
