As a guy who bought his very first Playboy in August 1973 (Oh Phyllis Coleman....!), I am firmly in Cooper Hefner's camp. I think Playboy needs to remain Playboy. Among today's 'lads mags' as the Brits call them, Playboy is unique. It offers a blend of men's fashion, accessory and entertainment advice plus great articles and of course, beautiful naked women. Removing the nudity and replacing it with near-nudes or modest nudes makes Playboy just another FHM or Maxim and to be honest both of those mags are cheaper than Playboy. For me, growing up with Playboy represented the ultimate, the lifestyle that I wanted so much to be a part of and yet knew I probably never would be, but I accomplished some of it... I was a member of a Playboy Club for a few years. It was very cool to say to friends... 'lets go to Club for a drink...'
