‘I never asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn. Another Comey lie’
Trump's people have devised a two-headed attack on the Tweet-inspired situation wherein Trump fired a guy for lying to the FBI, then asked the FBI not to investigate him further: (1) somebody else takes responsibility for composing the Tweet; (2) Trump denies asking the FBI not to pursue Flynn, as noted above.
Point two really places Americans in a difficult position. Whom should we believe, the former head of the FBI who took meticulous notes of every conversation, or the guy who's obviously lying to cover his ass?
Quite the quandary!
